Victoria Buhler: A Strong Background in Finance and Strategy
Victoria Buhler brings a wealth of expertise in finance and strategy to her new role. Her background includes extensive experience in investment banking and management consulting, encompassing various sectors.
In her capacity as Deputy Adviser, Victoria will provide counsel to ministers and collaborate with teams across No10 and other government departments focusing on economic, business, and trade matters. Since 2015, she has been affiliated with Robey Warshaw (Evercore), where she has advised corporate boards on intricate mergers and acquisitions, as well as shareholder activism, contributing to deals valued at around £85 billion. Prior to this, she held a position at the Boston Consulting Group in both London and New York.
Academically, Victoria possesses an MPhil in International Relations and Politics from the University of Cambridge and a BA in Economics and Global Affairs from Yale University. She has also played a supportive role as a research assistant to Nobel laureates Robert Shiller and George Akerlof.
Hannah Bronwin: Expert in Energy Policy
Moving to energy policy, Hannah Bronwin joins as the Expert Adviser on Energy and Net Zero. She arrives with substantial experience as a senior policy professional and a solid foundation in energy policy, having served in various governmental and external roles.
In her new role, Hannah will also serve as an adviser to ministers, working alongside the energy teams at No10 and across the government. Her expertise has been previously demonstrated during her time with the Clean Power Commission, where she supported the UK’s energy ambitions.
Prior to this appointment, she was the Director of Business Development for SSE Thermal, overseeing strategy, project origination, and partnerships in the energy sector. Her career also includes experience as Commercial Director at the Energy Systems Catapult and duties at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, focusing on new nuclear financing. Additionally, she spent a decade as a project finance lawyer at the prestigious international law firm Linklaters LLP.
