A Man Sentenced for Attempted Burglary at Anya Taylor-Joy’s Home
A 43-year-old man, Kirk Holdrick, has been sentenced for breaking into a house where actress Anya Taylor-Joy was residing, attempting to access her bedroom with a crowbar. Holdrick, along with an accomplice, targeted the London mansion in the early hours of 12 February 2023.

On 21 February, he broke into a residence in Sandbanks, a well-known area for the wealthy, where he and an accomplice dressed as police officers tied up a woman and her daughter at gunpoint.
The assailants reportedly dragged the victim’s daughter by her hair and threatened to harm her if they did not receive the code for the safe. Despite their threats, they left empty-handed, taking approximately £200,000 worth of valuables, including watches and jewellery.

Holdrick received a 12-year prison sentence in November 2022 for the Sandbanks incident. Following his guilty plea regarding the attempted burglary at Taylor-Joy’s residence in December, he was sentenced to an additional three years earlier this week.
Initially, Holdrick denied involvement in the London burglary, claiming his DNA at the scene was due to having attended a party at the property. His criminal history includes a life sentence for an armed robbery involving a security van back in 2005, and he has several convictions that date back to his teenage years.
