Ceasefire Negotiations Reached Critical Juncture
Efforts to secure a lasting ceasefire in Gaza are currently at a pivotal stage, according to the Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman. Palestinian health authorities identified the casualties as residents from Beit Lahiya, Jabalia, and Zeitoun in northern Gaza.
The Israeli military, meanwhile, reported two separate incidents in which their forces engaged Palestinian militants who breached a designated withdrawal zone, leading to the deaths of three militants. An Israeli spokesperson denied knowledge of any drone strike occurring during this time.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman affirmed that discussions remain ongoing, cautioning that, while a temporary pause has been reached, it does not yet signify a full ceasefire. “We cannot consider it yet a ceasefire. A ceasefire cannot be completed unless there is a full withdrawal of the Israeli forces,” he stated during the Doha Forum.
In parallel, recent diplomatic activity includes an Israeli delegation’s discussions in Cairo regarding the return of the last hostage from Gaza, which would fulfil a segment of Trump’s broader peace initiative aimed at concluding the protracted conflict.
