GLA Approves Funding for Film London Through 2025
The Greater London Authority (GLA) has renewed its financial support for Film London, approving a funding package worth £4.371 million over three years, which will commence in April 2022 and continue until March 2025. This funding aims to bolster the creative industries in film, television, and visual effects, as well as to enhance diversity and inclusion within the sector.
Purpose of the Funding
The allocated resources will not only aim to stimulate job creation and attract new investments to London’s creative sector, but they are also specifically tied to Film London’s performance against milestones outlined in a formal grant agreement. This ensures accountability and proper oversight of the funds during the grant period.

On Monday, 15 December 2025, the London Assembly’s Audit Panel will convene to examine the GLA’s funding procedures, as well as discuss measures related to the GLA Procurement Shared Services and Treasury Management. The meeting is an opportunity for lawmakers to scrutinise the financial oversight mechanisms in place and to ensure that public funds are managed effectively.
