According to Avon and Somerset Police, the latest attack involved a man in his 30s who required hospital treatment after being struck on the head. This incident follows a pattern of assaults, starting with a man in his 40s being attacked at approximately 1.15am on 30 November. This initial victim was approached by two unidentified individuals who shone a light in his eyes before attacking him, resulting in injuries to his wrist, back, shoulder, and head.
In addition, two similar attacks were reported on 3 December, occurring between 12.30am and 1.30am. Both victims from these incidents, who were aged in their 20s and 40s, reportedly did not require medical attention.

A spokesperson for the police expressed concern that these assaults may indeed be motivated by homophobia. Descriptions of the suspects remain vague, as they were described only as two males—one of whom is white—wearing dark clothing and face coverings.
