During the planned 10-day mission, the crew will conduct critical tests on life support, navigation, and communication systems essential for deep space travel. Many assessments will occur within Earth’s orbit prior to entering the moon’s vicinity. Following this, the team will pilot the Orion capsule around the moon and return to Earth, splashing down in the Pacific Ocean.
