GLA Oversight Committee to Evaluate Assembly Plenary Practices
The Greater London Authority (GLA) Oversight Committee is set to review its operational methods concerning Plenary or All Assembly meetings. This investigation, scheduled for tomorrow, aims to assess existing challenges, gather suggestions for reforms, and explore long-term strategies for optimizing Assembly Plenary functions.
Objectives of the Investigation
The GLA Oversight Committee’s multifaceted investigation will concentrate on several key areas:

Panel Discussions Scheduled
During the meeting, which will take place on Wednesday, 21 January, from 2pm at City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, E16 1ZE, the Committee will assess broader perspectives on the role of Plenary sessions. External experts will provide insights regarding the Plenary’s purpose and propose alternative approaches.

- Professor Patrick Diamond, Public Policy expert at Queen Mary University
- Professor Diana Stirbu, Professor of Public Policy and Governance at London Metropolitan University
