An 81-year-old woman has tragically lost her life following a collision with a car while she was on her way to a nearby shop in Fazakerley, Liverpool. The incident occurred around 4:15 PM on Friday when the vehicle, described as dark-coloured, failed to stop at the scene.

Merseyside Police confirmed that the victim sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at Aintree Hospital. Following the accident, authorities cordoned off Longmoor Lane as forensic investigations took place; however, the road was reopened by Saturday morning.
