Man Charged Following Multiple House Fires in Leicestershire
A 50-year-old man has been charged in connection with three house fires that occurred almost simultaneously in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire. Emergency services responded swiftly to the incidents, which took place within a span of just 14 minutes on Friday morning.

Emergency services were alerted to the first fire on Holywell Avenue at 07:05 GMT, followed by a second incident on Prestop Drive at 07:08 and a third on Clifton Drive at 07:19. The rapid response from emergency teams underscored the severity of the situation.
As a result of the blazes, two teenagers and a woman required medical attention and were taken to hospital for treatment of burn injuries and smoke inhalation. Fortunately, their conditions were later reported as non-life-threatening.

On Sunday, it was announced by Leicestershire Police that the man in custody has been charged with dangerous driving along with three counts of arson with intent to endanger life. He is scheduled to appear before Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
