Jean Ann Burgess, who has served as Archdeacon of Bournemouth in the Diocese of Winchester, began her journey in ministry through the East Midlands Ministry Training Course, which is accredited by Nottingham University. Her early ministry was marked by her role at St George and St Mary’s Church in Gresley, located within the Diocese of Derby. She transitioned to serve as Interim Minister at St Alkmund’s and St Werburgh’s churches in 2008, eventually being appointed Priest-in-Charge in 2013 and then as incumbent in 2018. Additionally, Burgess held the position of Archdeacon of Bolton and Salford in the Diocese of Manchester from 2018 until her most recent appointment.
In 2023, Burgess took on her current responsibilities as Archdeacon of Bournemouth, where she further established her leadership within the Church.
