Authorities in Manchester’s Harpurhey district detained a 21-year-old man following the discovery of a substantial quantity of heroin and crack cocaine, uncovered after officers observed a perilous e-bike operation involving a child. The police tracked the vehicle through the streets, which was being recklessly ridden by an individual wearing a balaclava.

On Thursday evening, local police officers noticed a 10-year-old boy riding at the front of a suspicious e-bike being operated erratically. The e-bike’s reckless behaviour, including weaving through traffic and mounting the sidewalk, prompted law enforcement to deploy a drone unit for a closer inspection.
The drone subsequently followed the e-bike to a residential address, where police discovered 94 wraps of both crack cocaine and heroin. In addition to the drugs, officers also found a machete, several smart whip canisters, and a small quantity of cannabis.
