Luxury Watch Store Armed Raid: Three Charged
Three men have been formally charged in connection with an armed robbery that took place at a prestigious Rolex shop in Knightsbridge, London. The incident occurred on the morning of Tuesday, 20 January, when a group armed with weapons, including machetes, stormed the store and threatened staff.
The Incident
At approximately 10:50 am, six masked assailants entered the luxury timepiece outlet and intimidated employees before absconding with several high-value watches, each worth thousands of pounds. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during this brazen act.
Arrests and Charges
In the wake of the robbery, the Metropolitan Police’s Flying Squad launched a swift investigation. By Thursday morning, three suspects were taken into custody. They have been identified as:
- Dean Dinan, 29, from Islington, charged with robbery, possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, and possession of criminal property.
- Elliot Campbell, 31, also from Islington, charged with robbery, possession of criminal property, and possession of drugs.
- Dyllan Gowie, 27, from Tower Hamlets, charged with robbery and possession of drugs.
Official Response
Detective Chief Inspector Scott Mather addressed the situation, stating that the robbery was conducted in a busy area of London, which has understandably raised concerns in the community. He assured the public that police were on the scene within minutes and are diligently working to track down the remaining suspects involved in the incident.
“We are determined to find those involved and bring them to justice as swiftly as possible,” Mather added.
Future Court Proceedings
The three charged individuals are scheduled to appear before Highbury Magistrates’ Court later on Friday. Meanwhile, authorities continue their investigation and are actively searching for three additional suspects linked to the robbery.
