Weather forecasters have issued severe warnings as heavy rain is anticipated to affect several regions in the UK this weekend, presenting a “danger to life” due to rapidly flowing rivers. As the weekend progresses, some parts of northwest England may continue to experience rainfall until late Monday, while areas in the southern half of the UK can expect clearer conditions with lighter winds. The south is likely to see clear skies, frost, mist, and fog on Saturday morning, and many regions will remain dry on Sunday.
According to reports from weather producers, a band of rain will gradually move southeast starting on Sunday night into Monday, continuing the theme of unsettled weather while temperatures remain mostly above average. Ms. Kirsty McCabe noted that while northern areas may experience windy conditions and coastal gales, the southern parts could enjoy a relatively pleasant weekend.
